To help promote its mission of the conservation of birds and their habitats, the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory is proud to introduce the 2nd Annual Click Off Photo Contest. Designed to showcase the bird and habitat diversity found in the Bay Area, the contest will select winners from six categories including Bird Portraits, Bird Behavior, Birds in their Environment, Endangered Species, Human Interaction and Birds of the World. Participants can begin submitting images to SFBBO on July 1st.
On May 20th Martin Taylor attempted to make a presentation about how still photographers could explore some video possibilities through creating slideshows, time lapse sequences and using the HD video capabilities built into current DSLRs and other digital cameras. Unfortunately the gods of technology conspired against us and there were problems projecting the videos Martin had prepared for the presentation. Here are links to the videos Martin intended to play:
Photochrome member Harold Hingle has several lovely macro photographs of flowers on display at Tart to Tart located at 641 Irving Street entitled Harold Hingle presents Bonjour Beaucoup De Fleurs. The exhibit includes 10 flowers photographs plus 4 from previous exhibit on the theme of Flowers of the Inner Sunset. Harold’s photographs will be on display for the next couple of months.
