Archive of Club Competition Results
Imagefest is over for another year. Many thanks to those who submitted, judged, scored, MC’d, and fed us. As usual the event was a testimony to the diversity of our club and it’s members and a delight to the eye. For those keeping score you can find the results below; congratulations to all those who placed. We also want to encourage those who entered but don’t feature in these results; it is not because your work is not great too. Art in general, and photography specifically, is a purely personal and subjective thing. To reduce your hard work in an instant to numeric score can be demoralizing but we only subject ourselves to this kind of judgement at Photochrome once a year. We can’t wait to see what everyone can create and come up with in the next 12 months!
On September 3rd we had a open submission evening presided over by a visiting judge. These were his favorite images of the evening:
- Rebecca Jackrel, Grizzly Bear with Chum Salmon
- Rebecca Jackrel, Red Fox Kit
- Burr Preston, Steptoe Butte Row of Trees
- Martin Taylor, Unicycle Shadows
- Alice Steele, Strawberry Swirl
- Alice Steele, The Sophisticated Cat
- Martin Taylor, Pollux GAMH
- Gary Larsen, Sunnyside Gazebo
- Art, Infinity
- Stacy Boorn, Capitola Apartments
- Pam Nelson, Hat Man
- Dan Sarago, Walker
- Bob Nelson, Cablecar Mirror
