Martin Taylor will present of the theme of Backup Strategies. If you have ‘gone digital’ and your data in general, and your photos in particular, are of value to you you must have a backup strategy. Hard drives will fail eventually and when that happens you must be confident that you data is complete and safe so that you do not loose any work. The presentation will go over the importance of have a backup strategy in place, how to devise your own, hardware & media recommendations, and specific free & cheap useful software for both Windows and Apple platforms.

Marin has been a software engineer for two decades and has survived a number of hardware crashes over that time so he understands the value of your data and how to sleep soundly at night safe in the knowledge that his pictures are safe.

We will also present the images of the theme of Fences & Gates that were to be presented in October.
