This meeting will feature presentations by Martin Taylor and Alan Heald. On this evening Martin and Alan will share their knowledge and experiences about two aspects of working with images in this digital age.
Alan Heald calls his presentation “How to Get Rid of Stuff”. He will demonstrate methods he uses to quickly eliminate distracting elements in digital photographs. There are significant differences between the Cloning tool, the Spot Healing Brush, and the Patch tool. Each tool has strengths as well as weaknesses. In fact, it often helps to use these tools in combination with one another to get the best results. As a bonus he will demonstrate the use of a Wacom tablet, a gadget he says is invaluable when working with Photoshop.
Martin Taylor’s demonstration will illustrate the different methods he uses for converting color digital images into quality black & white images. His presentation is especially pertinent since Photochrome will be soon be holding a black & white only evening, at the Theme night on March 4th. So, if you aren’t completely comfortable converting your images into black and white it would be smart to attend Martin’s presentation.
Martin and Alan each hope that you will find the evening of value.
