Exploring Photography

The Life of a Wildlife Photographer:

Professional wildlife photographer for six years, Suzi Eszterhas specializes in photographing wildlife families in their native habitats. Her photographs have been published both nationally and internationally, most recently in Time (cover),Smithsonian, and BBC Wildlife magazines. On Thursday, November 19, Suzi will give a slide presentation on her adventures photographing wildlife around the world. She’ll take you to a bush camp in Kenya’s Masai Mara Reserve, where she lived for four years; by helicopter, to track and photograph polar bears; on foot in the Alaska wilderness, for images of grizzlies; and to Antarctica, as an expedition staff photographer. Suzi will discuss what it takes to be successful in her profession, including research, equipment, and how to cope with the unique challenges of working in the wilds.

This is may be the last meeting in 2009. (One may be scheduled in December if needed). This is a good time for all members to think about serving their Club in planning activities and events for the year. It is held in the Gallery Annex / Fireside Room upstairs on the main level of the Church and lasts about an hour and a half.

Any Photochrome member is welcome to attend the Board Meeting and to get involved in the running of our club.  7:30 in the meeting room.
